Ashley Stuart | Mrs. Oklahoma 2018
Ashley Stuart, Mrs. Oklahoma 2018, serves the Oklahoma House of Representatives as a Legislative Assistant. Ashley was born and raised in Oklahoma, where she developed her love of dance, football, and family. Ashley graduated from Classen School of Advanced Studies with a focus in Dance and graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma with a B.A. in Mass Communications with a focus in Public Relations.
During her time at the University of Central Oklahoma, Ashley developed her passion for community service and student leadership. She was an active member of Delta Zeta Sorority, Leaders of Tomorrow, The Ucommute Council, New Student Orientation Executive Board, and many others. Ashley was recognized for her campus leadership and involvement by being awarded the UCO Spirit Award, Homecoming Court and the Panhellenic Woman of the Year Award.
During her college years, Ashley tragically lost three friends to preventable automobile accidents, all due to distracted driving. Because of these experiences, Ashley became an advocate against distracted driving, speaking to many groups about the dangers of distracted driving and ways to combat it. As Mrs. Oklahoma, Ashley will continue her efforts by working with different organizations across the state to help make our roads safer to travel on.
After working full-time, being a full-time Mom, and now a full-time titleholder, Ashley fills what little free time she has with reading, working out and spending time with family and friends. In fact, many of her family and friends will be joining her as she travels to Las Vegas to compete at Mrs. America in August!
Ashley loves sharing this wild ride called life with her best friend and husband Brad, and their daughter Lily Pearl.
The Mrs. Oklahoma pageant, the official state preliminary competition for the Mrs. America contest, celebrates the achievements, poise, grace and personality of Oklahoma’s highly accomplished young women. The competition involves civically engaged married women who are making a difference by being involved in their communities and who are excited about celebrating marriage. Ashley competed for the coveted title based on overall personality and communication skills, confidence, achievements, poise and appearance. The interview component of the competition comprised fifty percent of the overall score, followed by physical fitness and evening gown competitions, which comprised twenty five percent respectively.
